Welcome to our PhD student! Agnieszka Lewalska-Graczyk.
Welcome to our PhD student! Agnieszka Lewalska-Graczyk graduated summa cum laude in engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. Her work concerned the synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles from organometallic precursors. After engineering studies, she had a six-month internship at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw as part of the TEAM FNP program. She continued her MSc studies at RWTH Aachen University in Germany with a specialization in catalysis and macromolecular materials. During this period, she completed an internship at the Leibniz Institute in Aachen (DWI - Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials) and 2 internships in the field of catalysis at the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry (ITMC) in Aachen. She was involved, among others, in the synthesis and characterization of materials with a perovskite structure for potential use as DOC and LNT car catalysts in cooperation with the Project House Center for Automotive Catalytic Systems Aachen (ACA). Agnieszka completed her master's thesis during her six-month stay in Heidelberg at hte GmbH, a daughter company of BASF. There, she participated in a project on the synthesis of functional nanomaterials with a hydrotalcite structure from alkoxylate precursors. She obtained her master's degree in January 2016. During the engineering and master's studies she was a scholarship holder of the rector of Warsaw Polytechnic many times and received a scholarship from DAAD and Cusanuswerk for a stay in Germany. She was also the manager and executor of grants of the PW Rector.
