Climate neutrality
A very interesting discussion took place on November 4th – perspectives on Climate neutrality of Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Sweden on climate neutrality objective.
· The objective of climate neutrality in 2050 is very likely to become a huge effort in decarbonizing not only energy sector, but also transport, agriculture, heating and cooling sector and also industry.
· V4 engagement is clear in striving for climate neutrality based on the roll-out of renewable energy sources and nuclear power. GHG reduction is the future, however good balance should be found when setting the targets as to the pace and deadline of achieving this goal by each EU Member State in light of their different starting points and internal specificities.
